Plein Air Paintings by Ann Feldman and Jewelry by Stevie Ybarra

Above are Palisade Peaches and Red Onions that Ann Feldman painted last weekend at the Farmer’s Market in downtown Steamboat Springs. Do you know the French phrase, ‘en plein air?’ It means outdoors. Plein Air painting is painting outside on location, with your paints, easel, brushes, and whatever scene sparks your interest. For October ArtWalk, 10/2 5-8 pm, Ann is showing new still life and landscape paintings from Steamboat Springs and surrounding areas.

The end of September, the Steamboat Art Museum hosts plein air painters from near and far. This week of painting culminates in a show at the museum and Ann will be participating. But she’s been painting outside plenty lately and you’ll want to see these new pieces at the Alley!
